Big C Cancer Charity

Based in Norwich, Big C is a local charity committed to the care and support of cancer patients and their families throughout Norfolk & Waveney, and to funding research into cancer at the University of East Anglia. Big C is not affiliated to a national charity; it exists independently and solely to raise funds for local people affected by cancer.

With the help of the local community the charity has raised more than £13 million since its foundation in 1980.

One in three people will develop cancer at some point during their lives, and few of us will escape being affected by the disease in some way. With the support of the people of Norfolk & Waveney we can, and do, make a huge difference to the lives and families of those with cancer. Funding from Big C is used for:

  • Providing Equipment and Treatment at the local hospitals such as the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston and the Queen Elizabeth II in Kings Lynn
  • Funding world class research into cancer at the University of East Anglia
  • Funding support, information and care services for anyone affected by cancer in the local area.

If you would like to be kept informed of the vital work of Big C we would be delighted to send you regular updates. To register your interest, please contact the Big C Office on 01603 619900, visit our website, or email us.
